Communities are made up of neighbors—and the Town of Shawangunk Democrats recognizes this with its Neighbor to Neighbor initiative. Neighbor to Neighbor is a grassroots outreach campaign to fellow Democrats who live in Walker Valley and the hamlet of Wallkill, and on the country roads in between.

Since 2023, we’ve been knocking on doors and introducing ourselves to voters who share our concerns to discuss issues of importance at the state & local level. Our goal is to persuade more people to become politically active! We also provide voting information regarding local, town, county, and state elections.

There are so many ways to get involved! You can canvass, you can make phone calls, you can write postcards, you can attend or volunteer at political events, you can help fundraising efforts. Whatever your special skills, Neighbor to Neighbor can use ‘em!
